The elegantly shimmering fabric is often chosen for festive clothing and bride apparel: here combined with transparent fabrics and shining silk. But you can even find it in everyday fashion, like skirts, pants, jackets and dresses, where its mixed with woolen fabrics, handmade Nuno-felt and coarse knits. This silk velvet has a base material of pure silk, while the wonderfully shining gauze is made out of high quality viscose. The fabric is perfect for being dyed with steam-fixable silk paint and is suitable for many design techniques: from the popular 2-color-dyeing technique, Shibori, to creating your own burn-out pattern. Apart from clothing, you can also create luxurious decorations out of this velvet: flowing drapes, elegant pillows and blankets as well as wonderful table cloths!
