A fabric out of two single overlapping layers of pure silk Georgette.
The crossing points of both layers create an irregular checkered pattern, which connects both layers very well.
Through this the Moiré effect is created, which is so popular with doubled transparent fabric (or feared by photographers).

Here the dry, stretched fabric was generously painted lengthwise in different shades of brown, using a large brush. First, the areas between the lines were left open but after a few minutes these areas were covered, due to the natural flowing tendency of the silk paint and ragged color edges were created all on its own. The stretched silk was first divided into slightly different sized squares, using wax and a bristle brush. Afterward, the single areas were painted in bright colorful colors. In the process the paint was partially applied generously, covering several squares.

When zoomed in, the interesting overlapping effect of the 2-layer fabric can be seen very clearly.
