You should choose a firmer quality like pongee 08 for the lining of clothes. Pongee 05, on the other hand, is perfect for decorations of any kind and for delicate canopies. It is as well suited for for light curtains, but not for windows facing south as silk is susceptible to UV light. The fabric can also be used for nuno felting, but you should have some experience with felting because the process itself will take a little longer then when using chiffon (for beginners chiffon is best suited).

Design example.
This scarf is made out of a piece of natural white Pongee 05, which was felted with FLYFEL®-wosiweb. Little felted lines out of silk-sliver make for shimmering effects on the lustreless surface.
After felting, the entire nuno-felt scarf was dyed with natural indigo.

Design example.
Black FLYFEL®-wosiweb, felted onto Pongé 05 yardware. The silk was first slightly tie-dyed in grey silk paint, in order to create lively color effect on the Nuno-felts. The fabric was partially folded into fine pleats and felted in place.
Especially beautiful for felt clothing.
