Here is an example of the application of a wax technique. The bold structures were made by applying hot wax to the silk, using a large bristle brush. Afterwards the resulting spaces are painted in watercolour-fashion with steam fixable silk colours. This procedure is repeated on the coloured silk, thereby creating nice, harmonious nuances with the colour overlays.
