A super fine layer of pongé silk is woven together loosely with a cotton silk veil. On one side the double material has a strong shine, the matt surface of the cotton predominates the back. Looking at it against the light, the 2 layer batiste fluoresces and shows a moiré type effect. Dying with a 2 color dye technique results in wonderful play of colors (more about that in the IDEEN journal!). An ideal fabric for lingerie wear, for blouses, shirts and tunics or soft scarves. Decorative for softly falling room dividers, while the fabric invites to dreaming when using as a bed canopy.
