Crinkle Crêpe 18

A unique silk fabric with a silvery shine and a structure like embossed bark, this fabric shows dyes and paintings with marvellous brightness. The silk that has been woven in an elaborate technique shows small lengthwise notches that are arranged staggered. In the light this structure casts small shadows intensifying the extraordinary relief. Because of its three-dimensionally drawn-out surface crinkle crêpe 18 bark is far more opaque than smooth silks of the same weight, and has a wonderfully flowing drape. It is therefore excellently suited for clothing like luxurious tops and blouses, light summer trousers as well as for swinging dresses with a festive character. Its minor creasing tendency is remarkable and makes it the perfect fabric for travelling. Just another hint: with the sewing machine you can make individual scarves in next to no time.
