Gabardine

This material is a discovery! An elegant, natural colored woolen fabric with a smooth surface, which almost reminds of satin. If it would not have a fine, woven in diagonal rip that structures the fabric discreetly. The stable gabardine out of high quality merino worsted yarn, feels incredible soft and comfortable - it can be worn on bare skin without hesitation! A wonderful material, very noble and elegant, with a soft grip! Perfect for classic business suits, for warming stoles and light travel blankets. The gabardine should be washed gently because of its high quality merino wool. It should only be ironed on the left side, under a  well-dampened linen cloth. That way it keeps it attractive look for a long time! Tip for noble scarves: combine silk with gabardine! A light silk, e.g. dye or paint a pongé 08 or crêpe de chine 08 and line with gabardine! This results in the most noble scarves, light plaids as well as jackets and ponchos, which besides having a shiny silk side also show a winter warm cuddly side.
