Due to the strong turning of this knitted material, using it for a shawl or scarf is simply perfect. Here an example for a simple but impressive XXL-shawl:
For this, an approximately 150cm sized piece of tube was first washed and then cut open on one side. Because of the rest reduction, an approximately 120x130cm large piece is created. This is folded in a traditional Shibori technique and dyed in red silk paint.
Before or after dyeing, the shawl is hemmed with a wavy rolled hem, using an Overlock machine. Due to the large format and the super thin fabric, a shape with slightly rounded edges was chosen, which can be hemmed in one piece.

For this, an approximately 30cm long piece was cut off of a 60cm wide piece of a knitted tube and dyed in a pot filled with steam fixable paint.
The cut edges roll slightly; hemming is not necessary because the fabric barely frays.
That is how a great and versatile tube scarf without any seams or hems is created.
