The medium weight quality shows the typical semi-gloss look of the Crêpe silk, which shimmers discreetly in the light. The surface of Crêpe de Chine is often described as grainy; a fine, elegant structure, which gives the material liveliness. Crêpe de Chine 12 falls elegantly, its grip is soft and the fabric barely wrinkles - a perfect material for elegant scarves and shawls!

This design example was made using a simple but stunning tying-technique. First a spiral pattern was painted on the flat laying shawl and starting in the middle, basting stitches using a strong thread were stitched along the drawn-on line. Then the thread was pulled together and the fabric was firmly tied to a package. This is then dyed in a pot filled with blue silk paint, while fixing at the same time.
If small punctures are still visible after washing and ironing, simply iron on a couple small rhinestones! ;)
