The ground fabric of organza 5,5 is similar to the silk chiffon 06 but in comparison shows a fine shining silk shimmer and a slightly stronger grip. This famous grip results from a rest amount of the silk glue, that used to give strength to the cocoon and purposefully has not been removed completely.Organza is likely to be used for noble clothing like blouses and tops, for festive scarves and stoles as well as for home decoration like table runners, curtains and room dividers (here often doubles). Organza 5,5 is a wonderful base material for nuno felt!
