Crinkle Chiffon 4.5

The light matt chiffon side has a structure full of very fine, softly rolling pleats lengthwise. This delicate bark effect, typical for crinkle chiffon, increases the volume of the fabric. The cloth has become firmly established in the ladies' fashion, mainly for super light, transparent summer clothes like blouses and tunics as well as scarf in all sizes. Crinkle chiffon is also ideal for noble delicate drapes, which let in a lot of light (not for windows that are facing south!) and for decoration purposes, for example a romantic bed canopy. Crinkle chiffon can be decorated with all known dye and silk painting techniques as well as fabric printing and stencil painting. Interesting effects result from nuno felting: when applying thin layers of felt, the fine bark structure of the crinkle chiffon is transferred in a very decorative way onto the felt fabric.
Please note: The over-twisted weaving yarn swells during washing and dyeing, thus the fabric has a relatively high residual shrinkage value.
