10x 45m Silk ribbon

Cut, 10mm wide band out of white pongé silk, rolled up on a cardboard core. The band can be dyed before use (fixed in the microwave) or you can paint, dye or spray the already knitted piece. Very versatile: ideal for knitting and crocheting but also for felting, to work into crazy patchwork, to wrap bracelets, for crochet necklaces and other silk jewelry...

This simple and sleeveless shirt is even possible to be created by beginners of knitting.
It does not always have to be colorful: the model out of knitted silk ribbons also appears very elegantly and precious in white.

In addition a blue-white tie-dyed Pongee scarf and a waist shawl out of Single Jersey in the same color. The small kanzashi flower in her hair was made out of natural white Crêpe Satin.

This top was first hand knitted and then colored using the Funpump.

This is how it works:
Dampen the finished top in water and a little bit of vinegar and wring it out as much as possible. Place the piece on a foil base and spray it, using the Funpump, in yellow, orange and red at your own whim.
High pressure in the bottle creates a fine spray, less pressure creates bigger drops.
There are different ways to fix the color, information about this can be found here in the IDEEN.com-Journal. The quickest way of fixation is in the microwave: Wrap the shirt in the foil base and fix the still moist package for 3-5 minutes on a low setting. Done!

Designer scarf and rest recycling?! ;)
For this design example all kinds of handspun yarns out of FLYFEL^®-tops, FLYFEL®-sliver, silk bead yarn and silk ribbon were felted onto a piece of FLYFEL®-duoweb in black/white. The outer edges of the needle felt were folded over and cover the ends of the yarn. That way a beautiful clean edge and a dark frame is created.
