Long scarf

At first sight this fabric looks pretty unimpressive with its simple, classic shaft weave and the sleek yarns. But only until you touch it. A real haptic experience! Such a material has never existed at IDEEN before: It is almost hard to believe that it is a fabric. The grip is softer and more flowing then a silk jersey. Warp and  weft are out of the same type of yarn. Due to the intricate turned weave, this fabric is extremely resistible to shifting. Luxury, exclusivity and fineness of the natural fiber pure silk come to a full effect. Even though this fabric is super light, it does not collapse in itself and keeps a certain stability, which is still extremely soft and coaxing... simply hard to describe. This fabric has to be felt. Our respect to the weaving mill technicians who developed this piece of art. An all around successful innovative mixture of yarn and weave. Like it was made for nuno felting with FLYFEL^®-web!

For this elegant black/white Nuno felt scarf a piece of black FLYFEL®-wosiweb with boldly cut out twirls was wholly felted onto a white Tissu de Gaze scarf. Additionally, some strands of white and pink slivers were felted onto the woolen surface. The overlapping fleece on both ends is thoroughly cut into  narrow stripes, once the felting process has been completed.

Für dieses Gestaltungsbeispiel wurde die Wachstechnik gewählt. Der Schal wurde aufgespannt und mit einem wasserlöslichen Stift (oder einer feinen schwarzen Guttalinie) in gleich große Quadrate unterteilt. Diese wurden anschließend mit Seidenmalfarbe grob ausgemalt. Nach dem Trocknen werden die Quadrate in der gewünschten Größe einzeln mit Wachs und einem großen Borstenpinsel reserviert. Die restlichen Stellen mit schwarzer Seidenmalfarbe bemalen.
