Long scarf

This is the lightest quality among the Crêpe de Chine fabrics. Fine Crêpe silks are similar to strong Pongés in their look. Therefore, Crêpe de Chine 08 can also casually be referred to as a " luxurious Pongé 08". It has a smooth surface and shows an elegant shimmer, due to fine highlights. Shine, grip and fall are the main points that distinguish Pongé 08 from Crêpe de Chine 08. Crêpe de Chine 08 has an especially soft fall and feels very comfortable. In addition, Crêpe de Chine is also extremely wrinkle resistant due to its elastic yarns. This silk is a wonderful base for all kinds of silk painting and tie-dyeing.

Here is an example for a tie-dye pattern.
Several stones were wrapped into this natural white Crêpe de Chine 08 scarf and tied together. Afterward the package is dyed in a large pot, filled with slightly simmering khaki colored steam-fixable silk paint until the desired intensity is reached.

The earlier described tie-dyed scarf was wholly felted onto black FLYFEL^®-web. Crêpe de Chine needs a little bit more effort when it comes to felting than e.g. the loosely woven Chiffon but it is worth it.

Quick and simple:
Two-color dyed in a pot and later decorated with a silver zig-zag line.
The scarf does not necessarily have to be stretched in order to paint on the Gutta lines; it is enough to fasten the to be painted area in the 4 corners using pins on top of a base, e.g. ironing board.
