This super fine silk quality is woven with yarns out of the highest quality grade 5A. The unimaginable fineness can be examined on the highest zoom setting. Due to the impressive acuteness of the pictures you can even see the reflective fabric in the lurex yarns! The super fine yarns of this fabric prove to us that even high quality chiffon is still gradable. After washing the fabric crinkles noticeably. This can be use for design purposes but also wholly or partly ironed smooth. The neutral colored, transparent Lurex thread adapts to any color and gives every fabric a noble luxurious gleam and uncountable little highlights. Also available as a hand rolled scarf, IDEEN no. 5215.

A design example of the use of wax as a resist for dyeing. Here the wax was boldly applied to the natural white silk with a Chinese brush. The resulting spaces were subsequently coloured with clear shades. Thereby a nice contrast between the white lines and the shining colourful areas emerges.

Another variation of the wax technique. Here the silk was discreetly coloured before the wax was applied. For the second layer of colour the same colours were used, but more concentrated.
Thereby a beautiful, harmonious range of colours with lively patterns emerges. A lengthwise running Pattern lets the lurex threads of this fabric nicely come into their own.
